Barthélémy

"With Barthélémy 2018, Château le Puy has produced a magnificent wine of great complexity, both rich and subtle. It has a beautiful, brilliant purple colour. The initial nose reveals notes of fig, plum, ripe strawberries, blackcurrant and cherry stone. These are followed by hints of spice and pepper. The palate is enveloping and finishes with a long, silky finish where hints of liquorice emerge. A wine of great purity!"

In the vineyard, in the cellar

The 2018 Barthélemy cuvée from Château Le Puy comes from a plot with unique geology known as ‘Les Rocs’, planted with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is produced using a natural vinification method known as infusion. It is aged for at least two years in seasoned barrels, using a method based on the phases of the moon, without the addition of sulphur dioxide or other additives. It is bottled unfiltered.
