Benjamin Taillandier

Starting from scratch, with nothing but his courage and convictions, Benjamin Taillandier is determined to produce wines ‘the old-fashioned way’ and cannot imagine farming any other way than organically.

The estate has therefore been AB-certified since the 2011 vintage, and biodynamic since the 2022 vintage.

His estate now covers 13 hectares spread across no fewer than 21 plots. He is committed to producing distinctive, artisanal wines and offers an alternative take on the winemaking profession.

His aim is to minimise human intervention as much as possible, both in terms of cultivation and winemaking. Together with his friend and mentor Jean-Baptiste Sénat, he is a member of the winegrowers’ collective ‘Changer l’Aude en Vin’.

The three appellations of the Minervois

The Minervois wine region is one of the largest in Languedoc-Roussillon. Spanning nearly 15,000 hectares of vineyards, of which 5,000 hectares are dedicated to the production of AOC wines, the very wide range of table wines, local wines and varietal wines is complemented by three distinct AOCs: the AOC Minervois, the AOC Minervois – La Livinière and the Muscat de Saint Jean de Minervois.
