Vindiou, Natural Wines in the Northern Rhône

From vine to cellar

At the Vindiou estate, everything is made by hand:

  • Hand-picked grapes in 30-litre crates
  • Treading
  • Pressing with the ‘Dentelle’, a traditional ratchet press
  • Vinification using whole bunches and indigenous yeasts
  • Using a bucket instead of a pump
  • Semi-carbonic fermentation for all vintages
  • No blending, no filtering, 
  • Aged in vats or barrels for 2 to 3 vintages
  • Just a little sulphur when planting
  • Gravity bottling using a spouted filler
