Description
The Petrosus cuvée from Les Chemins de l’Arkose is made entirely from superb Pinot Noir. In partnership with Audrey Baldassin, Yvan Bernard now produces wines in Auvergne under the name Les Chemins de l’Arkose. Aromas of cherry brandy and blackcurrant mingle with balsamic and mineral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich and well-structured, with firm tannins and elegant oak.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
The Les Chemins de l’Arkose estate practises organic farming (certified by Ecocert in 2010). No synthetic chemicals, plant-based treatments, adherence to the lunar calendar and a return to traditional soil cultivation are the main principles guiding work in the vineyards. Native yeasts. The Petrosus cuvée is made from 60-year-old Gamay vines. Aged for twelve months in oak barrels.

appellations belong to the Loire

wine family. They are therefore the southernmost representatives of this family.
Puy-de-Dôme PGI
The IGP Puy-de-Dôme
is one of two wine-growing areas situated within the territory of the former administrative region of Auvergne (which became Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in 2016). It produces still white, red and rosé wines grown on the slopes of the Massif Central. The vines are planted on small plots, almost always on steep slopes, and on stony soils that warm up easily. The red and rosé wines are made mainly from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The red wines have a deep colour and their aromas are fruity and spicy. As for the rosés and whites, they combine notes of ripeness and freshness.
