Tasting
The nose of this wine reveals magnificent notes of red fruit, strawberry, blueberry and undergrowth. The palate, straightforward and rich, is carried by truly delicate tannins. The mineral structure of this cuvée provides a perfect balance between silkiness and richness. A truly great wine!
In the vineyard, in the cellar
This cuvée comes from a small plot of Gamay situated on the Madonne hill in Fleurie. The old-timers used to say you had to be mad to cultivate the dizzying slopes of this plot (the steepest in the appellation). The vines are around 60 years old and have been cultivated without chemical weedkillers since 2015, with the soil tilled using a winch. A true feat of determination and passion.
