Description
The Biancu Marinu cuvée from the Yves Leccia estate is a subtle blend of Vermentinu and Muscat Petit Grains. Bright, fruity and dry, it offers lovely aromas of fresh grapes. On the palate, it reveals the crisp, fruity, dry and smooth character of the Muscat.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
The Biancu Marinu cuvée from the Yves Leccia estate in detail:
- Grape varieties: 60% Muscat Petits Grains, 40% Vermentinu
- Geology: Partinelone vineyard. Clay-limestone soil on a schist base.
- Cultivation method: Organic farming, traditional tillage, organic fertilisers.
- Harvest: Hand-picked, with bunches sorted to ensure they are healthy and ripe
- Planting density: 4,000 vines per hectare
- Vinification: Whole-bunch pressing. Cold settling at 8°C for 24 hours, fining on must.
- Fermentation: In temperature-controlled stainless steel vats at 18°C, for approximately 15 to 20 days. No malolactic fermentation.
- Ageing: 6 months in stainless steel vats on fine lees
