Description
The Domaine du Grand Tinel
produces this 2020 Alexis Establet Châteauneuf-du-Pape from a plot of century-old Grenache
Noir vines
growing on a siliceous-clay soil with rounded pebbles. The evolving colour (garnet, ruby, then brick-red) offers a delightful introduction to the tasting. The complexity of the nose is exceptional (
wild strawberries and raspberries, brandy-soaked plums and other black fruits), dusted with sweet spices and noble smoky notes (leather, tobacco). The palate is a delight of delicacy, introduced by a silky texture and carried by fine, well-integrated tannins. A fine ambassador for Châteauneuf-du-Pape, showcasing the best of what the appellation has to offer in terms of
finesse and power.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
Made from 100% Grenache Noir, produced only in exceptional years. Situated in the Gardiole region, this plot, which is over 100 years old, benefits from a siliceous-clay terroir with rounded pebbles, imparting finesse and power.
