"The white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Domaine du Grand Tinel is one of the appellation’s benchmark wines. Depending on the vintage, the nose ranges from lemon zest and peach skin to quince, often topped with hints of white flowers. This wine stands out for its freshness and liveliness, and an energy rarely found in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Over the years, the wine gracefully unfolds its breadth and depth without ever losing its tension. The rest speaks for itself: Domaine du Grand Tinel confirms its status as a producer of great white wines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape."

In the vineyard, in the cellar

The Domaine du Grand Tinel Châteauneuf-du-Pape White 2021 is composed of White Grenache (56%)

, Roussanne (22%)

, Bourboulenc (15%)

and Clairette (7%)

. Siliceous-clay soil with rounded pebbles. Harvesting takes place early in the morning to maintain cool temperatures. A systematic sorting is carried out in the vineyard. Transport to the winery is carried out under protection with dry ice to prevent any oxidation.

The grapes are pressed directly using a pneumatic stainless steel press. The first juices are selected, followed by cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation is controlled at between 15 and 17°C. The Roussanne and Clairette grapes (one-third of the total blend) are vinified and aged in new and one-year-old barrels. The Grenache grapes remain in stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out to preserve maximum acidity and freshness.

Aged for 7 months on lees with regular stirring of the barrels during the first few weeks following the end of alcoholic fermentation. The blend is finalised just before bottling.
