Description

Domaine Giachino’s Apremont is a sparkling Savoie wine with a mineral, expressive and fruity nose (hints of lemon). On the palate, it unfolds with an intense, full-bodied and long finish, featuring notes of bergamot, pineapple and elderflower. A lovely pairing to accompany a savoury tart or hard-rind cheeses (Beaufort, Abondance, Comté, etc.).

Terroir On the scree slopes of Mont Granier, amongst marl and large limestone boulders.
Area 3 hectares
Harvest Hand-harvested. The bunches are picked whole and sorted. The grapes are not crushed but pressed slowly.
Vinification Cold settling by temperature control of the vats at around 10°C for 96 hours.
Slow alcoholic fermentation thanks to temperature control at a maximum of 16°C for 3 to 12 weeks, followed by malolactic fermentation. Vinification in accordance with the "Nature & Progrès" charter
Ageing On full lees for 10 to 14 months
Serving 8–10°C
