Description
The predominance of very old Grenache vines planted at high altitude makes this cuvée from Hélène Bleuzen (Le Clos) a magnificent example of the Ventoux appellation. The nose offers a captivating Mediterranean bouquet: black cherry, tapenade, fig, spices… An aromatic precision that is echoed on the palate with a delicate, enveloping tannic structure. The wine’s generosity and velvety texture are perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of body and a lovely tension on the palate. A very successful pairing with a foie gras terrine and tomato coulis, or grilled meats (veal, lamb) with thyme.

Ventoux appellation
Mont Ventoux, standing at 1,910 metres, is home to this unique vineyard. It is at the foot of Mont Ventoux that a large part of the AOP
Ventoux vineyards thrive happily.
The appellation covers three production areas characterised by a great diversity of terroir, giving the wine its distinctive qualities and character:
- The Carpentras plain, the heart of the appellation
- The Malaucène basin between Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail massif
- The Vaucluse hills, extending from Mont Ventoux, separate the Carpentras basin from the southern part of the appellation, where the vineyards are more scattered.
