Description
This cuvée Kadans from Mas de Salente is composed in large majority of Syrah (70%) completed by Cabernet Franc (30%). In its sustained dress with purple reflections, the wine impresses by its aromatic power, certainly Mediterranean, but very contained. The aromas of black fruits (plum, ripe), zan, tapenade and garrigue are perfectly balanced by notes of eucalyptus finely minty. The palate benefits from a beautiful amplitude; however, the structure and texture of the palate are impressively precise, which already seems to be the signature of the estate. A high-class wine that will take a few years to appreciate its full potential. Unless you already offer him a filet mignon à la Provençale or a piece of matured beef.
First vintage in 2024: “a star is born!”
From their first vintage, France and Mario Dussurget affirm the ambition of their project and a precise vision of the “haute couture” wines they intend to propose. Accompaniment of the grapes in biodynamics, mastery of maturities, long breeding in amphoras and half-muids. The wines shine with their aromatic quality, the precision of their structure carried by fine and slightly powdery tannins. A new gem is hatching in the Languedoc!

The cuvée Kadans from Mas de Salente in detail:
The 2024 vintage was mild and without excess, which allowed us to approach these first harvests with serenity. After a winter and a spring during which rainfall allowed the soil to be recharged, no particular health pressure appeared, contrary to what has been observed in much of France. The temperate summer was marked by two life-saving storms, on 6 July and 15 August, followed by two rainstorms at the beginning of September. These conditions allowed the grapes to reach optimal maturity.
