Description
Olivier Pithon’s Pilou is a ‘haute couture’ cuvée for connoisseurs, one of the finest wines from Roussillon! The grapes come from century-old Carignan vines with a touch of Grenache, planted on a clay-limestone plateau. The wine is vinified and then aged in stoneware jars for 18 months. The sensory journey begins with an extremely refined bouquet: black berries, spices, floral notes, thyme… a sublime, ethereal sensation. The first sip confirms this completeness. The fruit is magnificent, the savouriness incredible, the tannins ultra-fine and prominent. This Pilou is a complete, slender, graceful wine, with great brilliance: among the very best of its kind!
