Description
Stéphane Tissot’s Trousseau Singulier is an extremely easy-drinking Arbois wine with a delicate texture. The nose is particularly characteristic of Trousseau: red berries (raspberry, morello cherry, cherry, redcurrant), a few floral notes, and spices. Balance is the key word here: freshness, fullness, body, tannic structure… Everything is perfectly in harmony. A truly beautiful wine!

The Stéphane Tissot Arbois Trousseau Singulier cuvée in detail:
- Terroir: This Trousseau comes from five terroirs: Rosières, Béranger, En Muzard, Corvées sous Curon and Chevrette. The Trousseau vines are planted on soils composed of limestone scree and Lias clay.
- Age of vines: 40 years
- Area: 2.78 ha
- Exposure: south and west
- Planting density: 7,000 vines/ha
- Cultivation method: Biodynamic viticulture, Ecocert certified and Demeter inspected. The vines are cultivated without weedkillers, chemical fertilisers or synthetic products. We use sulphur, copper and herbal infusions to treat the vines. We produce and apply our own compost. These vines are fully ploughed.
- Harvest, vinification and ageing: Hand-harvested into crates. Strict sorting, destemming, and fermentation for one month in truncated wooden vats with occasional punching down. Aged in ½-muits (600-litre barrels), 10% of which are new, for one year. Bottled without filtration. Fairly low SO₂ dosage: 2g/hl added at vatting and 2g at bottling.
