Description
Le Lièvre Blanc des Verveines du Forez is an artisanal gin made from selected spices and medicinal verbena grown on the estate. This is a variety of bitter verbena. Distilled using traditional methods in a Charentais copper still via steam distillation, it has an alcohol content of 42% ABV. Unsweetened, it falls into the ‘dry’ category. A pure, limpid colour with crystalline highlights. A very fragrant nose, slightly peppery with a complex bouquet of spices. A rich, aromatic palate, supple on the finish with a noble bitterness. Supple, aromatic, refined and fragrant, this gin leaves room for your imagination and creativity to craft cocktails with character.

Specialising in the cultivation of aromatic plants, the Forissier estate created Le Lièvre Blanc Gin in 2018. It can be used in cocktails blended with low-alcohol liqueurs. It is made from a fine wine-based spirit blended with a bouquet of spices and a wild variety of verbena that is little known due to its intense bitterness: medicinal verbena. Steam distillation (in a Charente-style copper still) results in a precise and complex gin. Classified as a DRY GIN, it is unsweetened after distillation. Its name, ‘Le Lièvre Blanc’, embodies a gin that is at once smooth, pure and wild, and pays homage to the estate located on Chemin des Lièvres. (source: Les Verveines du Forez)
How should Le Lièvre Blanc Gin be enjoyed?
It can be enjoyed on its own. It pairs perfectly in cocktails with Verveine du Forez Tradition liqueur or other popular flavoured tonics.
