The Comte Abbatucci Estate needs no introduction in Corsica. It is an iconic family whose roots in viticulture date back to the 16th century.
Indeed, in the 1960s, Antoine Abbatucci, then president of the Corsican Chamber of Agriculture, established a conservatory for native Corsican grape varieties. These include Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu, Barbarossa, Vermentino and many others. In fact, one plot on the estate is planted with no fewer than 18 grape varieties.
With the arrival of Jean-Charles Abbatucci, the wines have risen to new heights thanks to the practice of biodynamics.
