Description
Benjamin Taillandier’s Minervois Audere (Latin for ‘to desire, to dare’) is a wine that truly lives up to its name. The old Carignan vines planted at an altitude of 400 metres on schist soils give life to a remarkable wine. Aromatic, juicy and full-bodied, driven by black fruits and spices in a very lively style. One is left impressed by the clarity, tension and freshness of this cuvée. A great wine!

In the vineyard, in the cellar
100% Carignan, old vines planted at an altitude of 400 metres on schist soils. The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates. In the cellar, the grapes are destemmed, followed by three weeks’ fermentation and twelve months’ ageing in old barrels.
Starting from scratch, with nothing but his courage and convictions, Benjamin Taillandier aims to produce wines ‘the old-fashioned way’ and sees no alternative to organic farming (AB-certified since the 2011 vintage). His estate now covers 13 hectares spread across no fewer than 21 plots.
He is committed to creating personal, artisanal wines and offers an alternative vision of the winemaker’s craft. His aim is to minimise human intervention as much as possible, both in terms of cultivation and winemaking. Alongside his friend and mentor Jean-Baptiste Sénat, he is a member of the winemakers’ collective “Changer l’Aude en Vin”.
