Description
Benjamin Taillandier is breathing new life into the image of the Minervois region with wines bursting with freshness, as exemplified by this Laguzelle cuvée. With its crisp fruitiness and surprising freshness and richness, this cuvée charms us instantly. It captivates with its aromas of black fruit, its lightness and its approachability. A quintessential wine for sharing with friends that truly brings the word ‘pleasure’ to life.
Method of working
The cuvée Laguzelle from Benjamin Taillandier is a blend of Cinsault, Syrah and Grenache. The Cinsault and Grenache are destemmed before harvesting, whilst the Syrah is pressed directly. Aged for 6 months in vats. Organic and biodynamic farming. Natural vinification.
Starting from scratch, with nothing but his courage and convictions, Benjamin Taillandier aims to produce wines ‘the old-fashioned way’ and sees no alternative to organic farming (AB-certified since the 2011 vintage). His estate now covers 13 hectares spread across no fewer than 21 plots. He is committed to creating personal, artisanal wines and offers an alternative vision of the winemaker’s craft. His aim is to minimise human intervention as much as possible, both in terms of cultivation and winemaking. Alongside his friend and mentor Jean-Baptiste Sénat, he is a member of the winemakers’ collective ‘Changer l’Aude en Vin’.
