Welcome to Stéphane Ogier, one of the most renowned estates in the northern Rhône Valley! … The precision and excellence of the wines live up to the estate’s ambition, notably featuring a collection of single-vineyard wines highly sought after by connoisseurs.

It was in 1997 that Stéphane Ogier joined the family estate, which has been rooted in the hillsides of Ampuis for seven generations. Upon taking over from his father Michel, he chose to work meticulously with his various terroirs in order to bring out the unique character of these historic sites.

Today

Over the years, the estate has expanded beyond the village boundaries, driven by a desire to explore and bring out the best in new terroirs. From his time in Burgundy, Stéphane Ogier has retained a taste for elegance and finesse, which has become a hallmark of his wines. Each year, the winemaker takes care to vinify the plots separately, to bring out the very best of their potential. The blends are adjusted according to the vintage, each telling a story about his wines.

Since 2014, Stéphane Ogier has been making wine in an ultra-modern winery in Ampuis. He gives free rein to his creative talent. Of the 18 hectares cultivated by this estate, 3.5 hectares are situated on some beautiful plots in Côte Rôtie. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997. After studying oenology in Beaune, he retained a taste for elegance and finesse. The wines are made from partially destemmed grapes (50% whole bunches in the Lancement cuvée). The precision of recent vintages, the rigorous selection of single-vineyard cuvées and the style now evident in the wines place the estate amongst the elite. Mon Village has a fine, elegant texture; it is very appealing. (source)
