Description
At last, a rosé with real colour: this Saint-Chinian ‘Soir d’été’ from La Dournie! The nose and palate are in perfect harmony, centred on tangy red berries – raspberry and Amarena cherry – enhanced by floral and slightly peppery notes. With good body, the palate is rather luscious. The roundness and power do nothing to detract from the wine’s freshness and vibrancy. On the finish, a slight hint of bitterness suits it perfectly. A profile that will be appreciated as an aperitif but which will really come into its own with tomato-based dishes, grilled meats or a chorizo risotto.
