"Cléa and Benjamin Taillandier’s Cuvée B8 is a lovely traditional-method sparkling wine made from Muscat d’Alexandrie. It boasts magnificent Muscat aromas (naturally!) with exotic notes and a hint of honey, all carried by a fine, lively and invigorating effervescence. Thanks to its freshness, it’s perfect on its own as an aperitif. But it’s also lovely with spring rolls or a dessert featuring red berries (strawberries)."

Description

Cléa and Benjamin Taillandier’s Cuvée B8 is a lovely traditional-method sparkling wine made from Muscat d’Alexandrie. It boasts magnificent Muscat aromas (naturally!) with exotic notes and a hint of honey, all carried by a fine, lively and invigorating effervescence. Thanks to its freshness, it’s best enjoyed on its own as an aperitif. But it’s also lovely with a few spring rolls or a dessert featuring red berries (strawberries).

In the vineyard, in the cellar

Starting from scratch, with nothing but his courage and convictions, Benjamin Taillandier aims to produce wines ‘the old-fashioned way’ and sees no alternative to organic farming (AB-certified since the 2011 vintage). His estate now covers 13 hectares spread across no fewer than 21 plots. He is committed to creating personal, artisanal wines and offers an alternative vision of the winemaker’s craft. His aim is to minimise human intervention as much as possible, both in terms of cultivation and winemaking. Alongside his friend and mentor Jean-Baptiste Sénat, he is a member of the winemakers’ collective ‘Changer l’Aude en Vin’.
