Cabanette replaces Le Rouge de La Dournie from the 2022 vintage onwards. It is a veritable basket of light, delicious fruit, a must-have for those first barbecues of the season. A beautiful light red colour with violet hues. A delicate nose evoking a basket of red berries with notes of blackberries and blackcurrants. A sensation of freshness that carries through to a lively, balanced palate with a hint of spice.
The estate
Acquired in 1870 by the Etienne family, Château La Dournie was long a family-owned estate in Saint-Chinian, passed down from mother to daughter for over six generations. Its most recent representative, Véronique Etienne, has now handed over the reins to a new team led by Noémie Vidil. The latter is continuing the work undertaken by the estate under organic farming (certification completed in 2017), preserving the spirit of La Dournie: wines that are neither too flashy nor too ripe.
