Description
The 5 hectares of Grenache and Syrah, facing north on the hills above Cairanne, give Clos des Mourres Tandem a much fresher profile than the rest of the appellation. Ripe black fruits and gentle spices dominate the tasting from start to finish. Enveloping tannins balance a velvety, fresh palate, creating a harmonious structure that preserves the wine’s overall fluidity.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
The vineyard in Cairanne comprises 5 hectares on the north-western slope of the Col du Débat. This aspect contributes to the natural sanitation of the vines thanks to direct exposure to the mistral. The plots are situated between 200 and 280 metres above sea level, on predominantly clay-limestone soils.
Grenache (50%) and Syrah (50%) Vinification and ageing in concrete vats.
Organic cultivation, supplemented by biodynamic practices in line with personal convictions to maintain living soils and authentically express the terroir. Vineyard work follows the lunar calendar, with ploughing and grubbing 2 to 3 times a year; vinification involves gentle extraction, minimal handling, short vatting, fermentation with natural yeasts, and no chemical products used. Sulphiting of 1g at bottling.
