Description
Comte Abbatucci’s Ministre Impérial cuvée is a unique blend of seven almost forgotten Corsican grape varieties. The cuvée takes its name from Jacques-Pierre-Charles Abbatucci, Imperial Minister and friend of Napoleon III. It boasts a magnificent deep black cherry colour with ruby highlights. The powerful nose evokes a blend of tangy red fruits (redcurrant and blackcurrant). There are also sweet spices, notes of cinnamon and dried flowers. The wine is delicious, particularly elegant; the breadth on the palate is impressive, and the tannins remain supple. Length, persistence and complexity complete the picture of an exceptional wine. It requires around 5 years to fully express itself. But a good fifteen years will allow it to reveal all its secrets.
