Description
L'Essart is Nicolas Maillet’s new single-vineyard Mâcon-Verzé. A wine in the same vein as Chemin Blanc, but made from younger vines, around twenty years old. Beyond the lovely notes of citrus, pear and white flowers, it is the stony character that dominates the initial nose. This distinct minerality runs right through the wine, giving it a particularly chiselled profile. The balance, precision and purity are remarkable. Yet another magnificent cuvée that further cements Nicolas Maillet’s position at the very top of the appellation.
