Description
This Carpe Diem cuvée from Domaine de l'Ecu is a refined and elegant expression of the Melon de Bourgogne grape. The nose offers aromas of citrus, fennel, spices and medicinal herbs. Grown in predominantly granite soil, vinified without sulphur and aged in amphorae, the wine possesses a revitalising energy and a refreshing finish.
Tasting notes
A full, rounded nose with notes of citrus, fennel, spices, medicinal herbs and bay leaf. Extremely smooth, creamy and full on the palate; full-bodied, rich, deep and delicate. A long finish.

- Soils: predominantly granite
- Grape variety: 100% Melon de Bourgogne
- Farming: Organic and Biodynamic
- Certified organic since 1975
- Demeter biodynamic certification since 1998
- Biodyvin biodynamic certification since 2014
- Work: ploughing and scarifying the soil. Green pruning.
- Harvest: 100% manual. Grapes received by gravity, no use of pumps.
- Yield: around 30 hl/ha
- Vinification: pneumatic pressing, whole bunches. No settling. Fermentation 100% with indigenous yeasts.
- Ageing: in amphorae for 15 to 18 months. No fining, no filtration.
