Description
Franck Faugier produces a crystal-clear Hermitage at his Faugier-Gonnet estate. The colour is a deep raspberry with fawn and mahogany highlights. The nose is complex, evoking fruit preserved in alcohol, rose, turmeric, cocoa, grey pepper and hints of candied, floral and spicy notes. The structure, rather supple and well-integrated, exudes volume, power and elegance.
Les Hauts-Chassis
Having joined the family estate in 1998, Franck Faugier soon made a name for himself within the Crozes-Hermitage appellation. His estate, Les Hauts Chassis, is situated in the heart of the hamlet of the same name, in the southern part of the appellation. The estate covers 13 hectares (12 for reds, 1 for whites). A must-try for all wine lovers seeking great value in the northern Rhône Valley.
