Description
Sourced from the villages of Avize, Cramant and Chouilly – Grand Cru-classified terroirs in Champagne – this 2016 Blanc de Blancs from Drappier
is a paragon of finesse and delicacy. The bouquet is dominated by aromas of white flowers and ripe white fruits with a hint of honey. The effervescence is both invigorating and refined. The balance of this champagne harmoniously complements the wine’s complexity, persistence and length. The purity is remarkable. A great champagne for a chic aperitif or to accompany scallops with citrus.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
This 2016 Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs cuvée was vinified and aged in stainless steel vats to preserve all the wine’s tension and freshness. It is dosed Extra Brut, at 6 g/L. Aged for 5 years in the cellar.
Terroir, organic farming and natural methods
Environmental and climate protection is not merely a stance for the Drappier champagne house. Organic farming applies to the bulk of production, from non-vintage bruts to the grand cuvées. Furthermore, as he is intolerant to sulphur, Michel Drappier offers champagnes with minimal sulphur dosages. Notably, a completely sulphur-free brut nature.
