Description
Drappier Rosé de Saignée champagne is a pure expression of Pinot Noir, characterised by an intense bouquet of red fruit aromas. Highly structured, with exemplary purity of red fruit, this champagne is vibrant on the nose and offers similar sensations on the palate. Warm and silky, it is slightly spicy with notes of stone fruit, balanced by a lovely freshness on the finish.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
Rosé de saignée with a 3-day maceration. Gravity is used to avoid pumping, thereby preventing oxidation. Natural settling. Alcoholic fermentation for approximately 2 weeks at low temperature. Followed by natural and complete malolactic fermentation. No filtration. Minimal use of sulphur. 100% of the wine is aged in vats to preserve maximum freshness. After bottling, the cuvée is matured for 2 to 3 years on racks. Dosage: 7.5 g/l
Terroir, organic farming and natural winemaking
Environmental and climate protection is not merely a stance for the Drappier champagne house. Organic production covers the bulk of the range, from non-vintage bruts to the grand cuvées. Furthermore, as he is intolerant to sulphur, Michel Drappier offers champagnes with minimal sulphur content. Notably, a brut nature that is completely sulphur-free.
