Description
One Rebel gives way to another at the Milan estate with this new Milan Rebels cuvée, the successor to Reynard Rebels. This time, it is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan sourced exclusively from the estate, in the same spirit of freshness and drinkability. A wine bursting with fruit, easy-drinking, slightly spicy, without the slightest hint of harsh tannins. Roast a ham on the bone!
In the vineyard, in the cellar
The Reynard Rebels cuvée from the Henri Milan estate is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan grown on clay-limestone soils over rounded pebbles. Organic cultivation. Short maceration of 5 days with whole bunches in concrete vats. Aged for 12 months in concrete vats. Unfined, unfiltered wine, with a small amount of sulphites added at bottling.
The estate
Domaine Milan stands apart in the wine world: a UFO (Unidentified Winemaker Origin). For Henri, who established the estate’s reputation, winemaking is not a matter of technique. It is more about naturally supporting what the vines offer, through organic and biodynamic methods. His son Théophile now continues the adventure, preserving the estate’s style and sensibility. The result is original, complex wines, each reflecting its terroir. A harmony whose finesse and texture often evoke Burgundy… but in Provence.
