Description
The Bordeaux Supérieur Tradition from La Tuilerie du Puy
immediately catches the eye with its deep purple colour and brilliant highlights. On the nose, the mouth-watering aroma of a basket of red berries enhances the wine’s approachable character. On the palate, it is both supple and full-bodied, with very delicate tannins and a relatively long finish. It offers excellent value for money.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soil over rocky subsoil.
- Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon: 28%, Merlot: 62%, Cabernet Franc: 10%
- Yield: 48 hl/ha
- Average age of the vines: 35 years
- Pruning: Double Guyot (Density: 5,000 vines/hectare)
- Vinification: The grapes are destemmed and sorted. They are then vatted for 4 to 6 weeks to allow for
slow and gentle extraction, ensuring the perfect expression of our terroir. Each plot is identified and
vinified in separate temperature-controlled vats to refine and enhance the future blends. - Ageing: The wines are aged for 12 months on fine lees to impart fruitiness and finesse. They are released
only after 18 months in the cellar.
