Description
La Tuilerie du Puy’s Entre-deux-mers Grand Chêne has a straw-yellow colour with brilliant highlights. The highly expressive nose blends exotic fruits with toasted and vanilla notes. The oak ageing is evident but perfectly integrated, creating a very harmonious profile. The suppleness and roundness on the palate are matched by its energy. The palate develops with notes of quince and passion fruit, complemented by a hint of roasted aroma.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soil
- Grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc: 60%, Sémillon: 35%, Muscadelle: 5%
- Yield: 49 hl/ha
- Average age of the vines: 35 years
- Pruning: Double Guyot (Density: 5,000 vines/hectare)
- Vinification: The grapes, harvested plot by plot, are destemmed, sorted, then pressed and fermented
directly in new oak barrels. - Ageing: The wines are aged for 4 to 6 months in barrels on fine lees. We stir the lees daily
during the first month, then every 10 days depending on tasting notes.
