10.00

"The Bordeaux Supérieur Grand Chêne from La Tuilerie du Puy is a harmonious and well-balanced wine. With this cuvée, Michael Régaud demonstrates his mastery of ageing techniques. His unpretentious wines highlight the fruit and are never overshadowed by the oak. The colour is luminous, with multiple shades of garnet. The nose reveals notes of blackberries, around which a hint of spice winds. The palate is full-bodied, with silky tannins and a complex finish. This wine is a fine example of its kind that will delight classic Bordeaux enthusiasts, in the noblest sense of the term."

In the vineyard, in the cellar

  • Terroir: Clay-limestone soil over a rocky subsoil.
  • Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon: 55%, Merlot: 35%, Cabernet Franc: 10%
  • Yield: 48 hl/ha
  • Average age of the vines: 35 years
  • Pruned using the Double Guyot method (Density: 4,500 vines/hectare)
  • Vinification: The grapes are destemmed and sorted. They are then vatted for 4 to 6 weeks to allow for
slow extraction, ensuring the perfect expression of our terroir. Each plot is identified and vinified in
separate temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to refine and enhance the future blends.
  • Ageing: The wine, racked regularly throughout its ageing, matures for 12 months in French oak barrels (one-third of which are
    new barrels).

What to eat with a Bordeaux Grand Chêne from La Tuilerie du Puy?

A leg or rack of lamb served with a gratin dauphinois. In season, some simply pan-fried mushrooms. Red meats. As for cheese, opt for hard cheeses.
