Description
Fabien Jouves’ Les Acacias (Mas del Périé) is one of the finest ambassadors of the Cahors appellation! The wine comes from 40-year-old vines grown on siderolitic soils, which lend it a solid, vigorous and distinguished character whilst retaining its freshness and finesse. Notes of crisp black fruits (plum, blackberry) mingle with hints of cedar, zanthoxylum and violet. The finish is long and smooth, without any harshness. We particularly appreciate the energy of this cuvée, a feat of precise balance between structure, concentration and finesse.

Fabien Jouves’ Mas del Périé estate
comes from an old farming family in the Causse region. He became a winegrower in 2006 by establishing Mas del Périé on the highest slopes of Cahors. Malbec (Cot) is the dominant grape variety here. The estate is situated at the junction of the terroirs of the Quercy hillsides and those of Cahors. Selecting specific plots was a natural choice to express the different facets of Malbec. This expression of the terroir is enhanced by biodynamic farming that respects life and the plant. As well as people and their environment.
