Description
The Pièces Longues from Mas del Périé (Fabien Jouves) first impress with their remarkable aromatic complexity. White fruits, exotic fruits, citrus, quince, a hint of honey… This rich palette is reflected on the palate, underpinned by a beautifully crisp minerality. The Kimmeridgian limestone soils work wonders, producing a palate that is both flavourful and finely crafted. Roundness, depth, freshness, tension: this is a truly fine wine that will pair beautifully with moderately spicy South Asian cuisine, poultry in sauce and semi-dry goat’s cheeses.

Fabien Jouves’ Mas del Périé estate
comes from an old farming family in the Causse region. He became a winegrower in 2006 by establishing Mas del Périé on the highest slopes of Cahors. Malbec (Cot) is the dominant grape variety here. The estate is situated at the junction of the terroirs of the Quercy hillsides and those of Cahors. Selecting specific plots was a natural choice to express the different facets of Malbec. This expression of the terroir is enhanced by biodynamic farming that respects life and the plant. As well as people and their environment.
