Description
The Vertus cuvée is a Premier Cru Champagne from Pascal Doquet that showcases the exceptional terroir of Vertus. This blanc de blancs is produced in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. It is a Champagne crafted from a selection of the estate’s finest vines on mid-slope plots, right at the heart of the terroir. Vertus is a truly great Champagne: expressive, supple and nuanced, with a mature, complex palate (white pepper, mint) and a long, salty, chalky finish.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
- Terroir: Vertus, a selection of our finest vines situated on mid-slope plots.
- Malolactic fermentation: Carried out.
- Ageing: 6 months on lees, 40% aged in old oak barrels.
- Blend: 100% Chardonnay. Wine of the Year 2006.
- Bottling: April 2007. Dosage: 3.5 g/l
