Pierre and Catherine Breton
Bourgueil Rosé
La Ritournelle 2021

13.00

"La Ritournelle by Catherine and Pierre BRETON is a fruity, dry 100% Cabernet Franc Bourgueil rosé. Do not confuse it with Cabernet d’Anjou (which is slightly sweet); one of the defining characteristics of Bourgueil rosé is precisely that it is dry. On the nose, there are aromas of redcurrant, with a hint of grapefruit and melon. On the palate, it is both fresh and thirst-quenching. It makes a perfect aperitif pairing with tellines, smoked salmon on toast or rillettes."

In the vineyard, in the cellar

A vineyard of Cabernet Franc vines, around fifty years old, planted on gravelly soil, certified organic and managed according to the biodynamic calendar. Hand-harvested and carefully sorted. Alcoholic fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation, using natural yeasts and bacteria. Aged in wooden vats in the attic until spring, bottled in April with a light sulphur treatment.
