Description
La Carambouille: this is exactly the sort of wine that has made the reputation of the Estézargues winemakers. It is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache Noir and Counoise, undergoing short maceration and infusion vinification to bring out maximum fruitiness without the tannins. It’s a success! The wine is fairly light in colour, crisp with red fruit and refreshing. It’ll go down a treat as an aperitif under the arbour, paired with charcuterie or grilled meats. A real ‘glug-glug’ wine, but no rip-off!
The winegrowers of Estézargues
There are around ten winegrowers in the Vignerons d’Estézargues, united in a “pilot” cooperative winery, with each winegrower retaining their own production, identity and working methods. Founded in 1965, the winery is located a stone’s throw from Lirac.
The Vignerons d’Estézargues have committed to responsible viticulture and have been vinifying without additives
for over twenty years, using spontaneous fermentation (indigenous yeasts
), without fining or filtration. The wines beautifully reflect their terroir with varied expressions and exceptional value for money.
