In the vineyard, in the cellar
The Vindiou estate’s Crozes-Hermitage cuvée in detail:
- Grape varieties: 100% Syrah
- Terroir: A blend from three plots in the communes of Gervans and Mercurol, with an average age of 35 years. The soils in Gervans consist of loess and gore. In Mercurol, they are a mixture of very fine calcareous silt and rounded pebbles
- Farming: organic
- Harvest: hand-picked
- Vinification: 15-day maceration with whole bunches followed by slow pressing
- Ageing: 12 months in barrels aged between 4 and 7 years
