Description
With this Dolia cuvée, the Arretxea estate produces an exceptional Irouleguy. Grown on red sandstone soil, the wine is then vinified and aged for eight months in dolias. These are 400-litre terracotta jars (made from Basque clay) manufactured by Goicoechea. This container not only preserves the wine’s freshness but, above all, keeps it as close as possible to the original fruit. Best enjoyed whilst young to savour its rich fruitiness, enhanced by notes of paprika and sweet chilli. An essential sensory experience for any serious wine lover.

Dolia
The dolia is a terracotta jar designed and produced in collaboration with the Goïcoechea pottery in Osses, alongside Luc de Conti of Château Tour des Gendres in Bergerac. These winemaking and ageing experiments bring together two passions centred on the land, all in the service of wine.
