Description
The nose is rich, with notes of apricot and pineapple that are also evident on the palate. Rich and full-bodied, the mid-palate is dense, voluminous and robust. The acidity is present and well-balanced, leading to a long, lingering finish. The sweetness of the fruit makes this a charming and alluring wine. It is a well-structured wine of great quality.
The terroir
Stony soils define the character of the Clos de l'Arlot white wine terroir. Furthermore, the slopes are so steep that tasks such as ploughing and treatments, which are usually mechanised, are carried out entirely by hand here. This is extremely demanding work for a particularly unique vineyard.

- A taste of tradition: extracting aromas and flavours as naturally as possible is the approach taken for the Clos de l'Arlot white. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures to capture the best of the grapes’ fruitiness and express the radiance of great Chardonnays. With 20% new oak, ageing lasts 12 months in barrels followed by 3 months in vats before bottling.
- What strikes and captivates in this exceptional white is its tension, the enriching contrast between firmness and opulence. It perfectly embodies the concept of a classic Burgundy, crafted without compromise to current trends. It balances the fruit and plays on the length on the palate to bring its originality to life and assert its charm.
- The grapes from the young vines are vinified separately and form a cuvée labelled La Gerbotte, Nuits-Saint-Georges Blanc.
Food and Wine Pairings
The generous, full-bodied nature of this white wine allows it to pair passionately with turbot in sauce, spiced lobster or langoustine ravioli with lemongrass. Its radiant character also makes it a perfect accompaniment to a pâté en croûte or grilled sweetbreads.
