Description
The Domaine de l'Ecu Classic cuvée is a 100% Melon, crafted and vinified to be enjoyed whilst young, showcasing its fruitiness. The nose highlights citrus notes, with a perfectly balanced hint of sea breeze and vegetal tones. The clean attack develops into a fine, slender body. This is THE estate’s cuvée for enjoying with a few oysters, accompanying a seafood platter, or with oily fish such as mackerel, sardines or salmon.
Tasting
The Domaine de l'Ecu's Classic cuvée boasts a crystalline straw-yellow colour. The nose blends smoky notes against a backdrop of citrus and white flowers, with subtle hints of wax. The palate is full-bodied, offering lovely volume as well as a tension and freshness that will certainly please Muscadet enthusiasts.

- Soils: siliceous metamorphic rock
- Farming: Organic and Biodynamic
- Certified organic since 1975
- Demeter biodynamic certification since 1998
- Biodyvin biodynamic certification since 2014
- Work: ploughing and scarifying the soil. Green pruning.
- Harvest: 100% manual. Grapes received by gravity, no use of pumps.
- Yield: around 40 hl/ha
- Vinification: pneumatic pressing, whole bunches. No settling. Fermentation 100% with indigenous yeasts.
- Ageing: on lees in underground vats.
