Esprit d'Y Vin is a charitable wine initiative led by Domaine de Prapin,
which donates €2 per bottle to support women with cancer. Only 3,000 bottles of this incredibly indulgent Syrah, which is incredibly easy to drink. The colour is a lovely ruby red with violet hues. The alluringly fruity nose is characterised by floral, peppery and minty notes. The fresh
attack quickly gives way to a charming mid-palate, with supple tannins and intense red fruit. Add freshness and spice on the finish: this wine is perfect for your aperitifs!
In the vineyard, in the cellar
The Esprit d'Y Vin Syrah cuvée from the Domaine de Prapin in detail:
- Grape variety: Syrah
- Terroir: Sandy-loam granite soil in the commune of Taluyers
- Viticulture: The entire vineyard is managed using organic farming methods with biodynamic practices, yielding an average of 40 hl/ha. The grapes are harvested by hand with sorting carried out in the vineyard
- Vinification: The grapes are first partially destemmed and then placed in vats. Alcoholic fermentation using indigenous yeasts then takes place over 6 days. Gentle daily pumping over. Pressing takes place during alcoholic fermentation after 3 days of maceration. Secondary fermentation and ageing take place in concrete vats until January. The wine is lightly filtered.

A few words about the Lyonnes de Tatooine association
Every year in France, over 61,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, 4,500 with ovarian cancer and 2,800 with uterine cancer. Breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women.
Lyonnes de Tatooine organises a range of activities, all with the same aim: to get moving again during and after treatment.
- Through its community-focused initiatives, Cœur d’Argan and Cœur de Rustine, the association offers a few days’ respite from the daily routine of treatment, enabling participants to actively support the cause of cancer and women’s wellbeing.
- Since 2022, we have been offering Cheval Rose equicoaching sessions to support people with cancer in their quest for physical and emotional wellbeing. In the Lyon region.
- In 2023, we set up a Dragon Ladies section (dragon-headed canoes) in the Drôme: Cœur de Pirates. A physical activity combining paddling and health benefits for women with cancer.
Lyonnes de Tatooine also runs the project devised by Doris Bon, a patient partner: PICK’ASSO. An innovative programme comprising 12 workshops.
