Description
The Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Vercots de Follin-Arbelet is situated on the southern outskirts of the village of Aloxe-Corton. This vineyard is a 1er Cru enclave, surrounded by village appellations. Yet its soil, consisting of compact clay over very hard, shallow, fractured rock, produces wines with great ageing potential (7–20 years) and powerful, tight tannins. This great concentration and length places it at the forefront of Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru wines.
Tasting
A wine characterised by ripe fruit, which is evident in a silky, full-bodied palate where the tannins are well-integrated. There is great class in this intense and persistent wine.
