Description
The 2021 vintage of Domaine Léon Barral’s ‘Tradition’ cuvée is a Faugères that is already well-opened, fruit-driven, pure, easy-drinking and flavourful. The rather airy bouquet centres on plum and wild blackberry, with spicy and floral notes. Crisp and well-structured, the palate reflects the character of the schist terroir with just the right amount of precise tannins. A lovely, indulgent wine that finishes with herbaceous and slightly smoky notes that call for a barbecue: grilled red meat, leg of lamb, Toulouse sausages, etc.
