Description
The Léon cuvée (a tribute to the grandfather) from Les Bottes Rouges is an Arbois Chardonnay sourced from a vineyard that is almost 70 years old (1956). The wine won us over from the very start with its mineral purity and its very distinctive Jura aromas, which are lemony and slightly peaty. Ultra-refined, slightly shy in its youth, we took a gamble on leaving it in the cellar for two years before releasing it… and it paid off! The wine now boasts a lovely golden colour and has taken on a whole new dimension. Magnificently balanced, it is underpinned by fruit that remains as sparkling as ever and offers length with a delicious salinity on the finish. A great natural wine from the Jura!
