Description
Fabien Jouves’ Cahors Les Escures is a perfectly balanced wine. It combines the aromatic intensity of dark fruits (blackberry, cherry), with a hint of spice, with a lovely fullness on the palate and a power tempered by a lively freshness. All this is complemented by fine tannins and a well-balanced structure that highlight the wine’s elegance.

Fabien Jouves’ Mas del Périé estate
comes from an old farming family in the Causse region. He became a winegrower in 2006 by establishing Mas del Périé on the highest slopes of Cahors. Malbec (Cot) is the dominant grape variety here. The estate is situated at the junction of the terroirs of the Quercy hillsides and those of Cahors. Selecting specific plots was the obvious choice to express the different facets of Malbec. This expression of the terroir is enhanced by biodynamic farming that respects life and the plant. As well as people and their environment.
