Description
Olivier Pithon ’s Laïs red is a magnificent ambassador for the Calce terroir, combining fruitiness and richness. This blend reflects both the diversity of the local grape varieties and the expression of the terroir, with lovely fullness, freshness and sap-like notes. It has a light, airy character very much in the Rhône style.
In the vineyard, in the cellar
A blend of 40% Carignan, 40% Grenache Noir and 20% Mourvèdre. The soils consist of marl, limestone and schist. Hand-harvested, vinified with indigenous yeasts. Aged in concrete vats. Yield 35 hl/ha.
