Description
Laurence "Yoyo" Manya-Krief has created a real fruit bomb with La Vierge Rouge, in collaboration with Jean-François Nicq. A natural red wine made from very old vines situated at the foot of the Albères mountains. 70% Grenache Gris, 20% Grenache Noir, 10% Grenache Blanc. It’s incredibly drinkable, with just the right depth: totally addictive!
In the vineyard, in the cellar
Yoyo’s La Vierge Rouge is a blend of 70% Grenache Gris, 20% Grenache Noir and 10% Grenache Blanc. These are 80-year-old vines on a granite-sand terroir at the foot of the Albères. Average yield of 20 hl/hectare. Carbonic maceration for 10 days. Aged in demi-muids that have previously held 4–5 wines.
