"Dobra ViniceRyzlink Vlassky Qvevri is a Riesling wine made using the maceration method in 1,000-litre Georgian amphorae (terracotta). Skin contact lasts for 9 months, followed by 12 months of ageing in barrels. The nose displays the aromatic power typical of Riesling: curry, exotic notes, peaty undertones and a hint of smoke. The palate is carried from start to finish by an absolutely magnificent, integrated tension. A truly great wine!"

Dobra ViniceRyzlink Vlassky Qvevri is a wine made from Italian Riesling grapes that have been macerated in 1,000-litre Georgian amphorae (terracotta). Skin maceration lasts for 9 months, followed by 12 months of ageing in barrels. The nose displays the typical aromatic power of Riesling: curry, exotic notes, peaty undertones and a hint of smokiness. The palate is carried from start to finish by an absolutely magnificent, integrated tension. A truly great wine!

In the vineyard, in the cellar

Dobra Vinice Cuvée is part of the Natura range and is produced with the utmost care:

  • Organic protection of the vines (including nettles, horsetail, etc.)
  • 100% organic fertiliser (horse and cow manure) and minerals
  • Hand-tended vines and grapes
  • Yield limited to 45 hl/ha
  • Whole-bunch vinification
  • Maceration of the berries until the end of J-M breakdown.
  • Exclusively indigenous yeasts
  • No chemicals or sulphur during fermentation and ageing
  • Use of older 230- and 470-litre oak barrels, or stainless steel vats
  • Temperature control
  • Gentle mechanical filtration
  • No filtration
  • Ideal ageing conditions in sandstone cellars.

  • Terroir: soil/subsoil: quartz sand, quartz, flint, clay, granite, gneiss
  • Topography: south-east facing slope, 250 to 320 m above sea level.
  • Yield: 38 hl/ha
  • Grape variety: Italian Riesling
  • Age of vines: 34 years
