Description
The Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir from Domaine de l’Enclos is a true delight for wine lovers. It comes from vines situated in the famous, steep-sided Vaudésir valley – the warmest in the appellation – which faces due south. A rich, complex, long-finishing wine with notes of ripe fruit; the body is both full-bodied and deep. Complete, full-bodied and deep, it retains an energetic structure as the terroir takes centre stage. Indulge in festive pairings: lobster, rock lobster, foie gras, truffled poultry, etc.

Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir
A most charming climat name for a Chablis Grand Cru; indeed, it has always been known by this name. Vaudésir is one of the seven climats of the Chablis Grand Cru appellation. Nestled in a natural amphitheatre, it covers 15.4 hectares. Like Valmur, it benefits from dual exposure: in a small valley sheltered from the winds, the south-facing slope offers the grapes optimal ripeness. The cooler north-facing slope retains freshness and often ripens later. More so than elsewhere, the location of the plots plays a major role in the style of the wines here. Another distinctive feature of Vaudésir? Its soils contain a significant proportion of clay. The subsoil, however, remains classic, consisting of calcareous Kimmeridgian marl.
